Avril & her mum...

Hi Muhammad,

I wonder whether you will remember me as I'm emailing you for the first time after getting back to Sri Lanka. I got your e-mail address and contact no. and said I would keep in touch but something or other came up and I just didn't get down to doing so. I'm the girl who was with my mum at the Changi Airport trying to get my mums wheel chair organized and you helped us immensely. This was on the 10th of January this year. We were waiting for the SQ counter to open from around 4.30am at the airport. I even left my mum with you so that I could attend to it. Can you remember me now? I hope so. Thank you so much for helping us. Specially my mum. Really sorry that It took me so long. My sincere apologies.

Well coming back to our country I was really busy trying to find a job first, as I was out of job fro one year and doing some travel business which was really down by the time we got back due to the economic situation here. Finally I managed to get a good job in April. I am now working for the biggest departmental store in Sri Lanka which is ODEL (Pvt) Ltd., as their PR Coordinator. My job keeps me on my feet and is very interesting too. In fact we are opening our Accessories, shoe, make-up etc. shop in Singapore soon. It will be called "BACKSTAGE" We have already got a three story building for this purpose in your country. So hopefully I will be visiting your country in the near future. My mum is doing well and life goes on even with all the unrest in the country.

So how have you been? Are you still studying and working part time at the Airport? Two of my IT Managers were in Singapore for training a month back. We work with a company there. I told them if they had the time to get in touch with you but they were really busy with their sessions and had just one day for sight seeing and shopping before they got back. How is your family? Give me all the news about yourself and your country when you reply me.

I also need some information from you? An aunt of mine will be in transit at the Changi Airport on the 10th of August which is next Sunday. She will be on her way to Australia. Since she will be in transit in Singapore from 0759 am until 1945pm where she will take her next flight on Qantas to Aussie. Can she get out of the airport just to do some sight seeing. What is the closest place where she could go and get back in time to catch her next flight? Can she take the bus? Could you help me by giving me some information please. Would you like to have something special from Sri Lanka? I will send you a token gift from our shop ODEL where I work. Well will stop now till I hear from you.

Well, Alhamdulillah. Im happy that a person that i help would eventually be a friend of mine one day. And yeah, i still keep in good contact with Avril (From Africa) as well as Gary (From Australia). Overall, everybody is our friend...except those who really wanted to be the enemy..yeah...
